This July, Telemundo Africa is bringing you two new Telenovelas. Period drama, "The Legend" and Romantic comedy, "Meet the Family", will both premier on July 4.
The Legend
The Legend is set in the 1870s, following the story of 19th century Mexican outlaw, Jesús Malverde. Known as the 'saint of drug traffickers', he was born in Sinaloa and was a bandit who robbed wealthy families to later distribute it to the poorest towns. His heroic actions are praised by the local townsfolk, but they are also a threat to government leaders and affluent landowners, making him a public enemy.
The show stars Pedro Ferndanez, Mark Tacher, Alejandro Nones, Luis Felipe Tovar and Isabella Castillo. Tune in every weekday at 10:00 pm
Meet the Family
Meet the Family follows the story of George Cruz, a famous screenwriter who is suffering a midlife crisis after he loses his mother and his wife abandons him. He also suffers from writer's block as he struggles to create another hit show. Amidst this crisis, he travels to Mexico to fulfill his mother's dying wish. This is where he will meet Carmen Jurado, a young Mexican woman who will become his muse and great love.
