If you've been binge watching hair, makeup and fashion videos during this pandemic and scrolling mindlessly on Instagram wishing you could cop whatever the influencers are pushing, well, now you can. And you don't have to visit a brick-and-mortar shop either. The future is here. The future is now!
DroppTV recently launched an ingenious way of artists/influencers to sell brands on their music videos.
The droppTV platform is powered by the company's proprietary artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision algorithm, which recognizes products in video content and tags them in real-time, allowing for frictionless, one-click in-content purchasing. It doesn't redirect you to another site.
Viewers can watch droppTV and make purchases on any device - smartphone, tablet or desktop. droppTV will also soon be available on AppleTV. The droppTV app is available on iOS now and will soon be on Android.
Like whatever Cardi B is wearing on her eccentric music video? Hover on the item, click on it, order, pay and it'll be shipped to you. How cool is that?
This is a really easy way for trends-conscious people to shop amid a pandemic. You get to watch your fave videos while shopping.
Hey Kenyan app developers, please create a homegrown version of this and have Kenyan influencers on the platform partner with Kenyan brands. It's shopping in the new age baby!
