Opening a restaurant in Nairobi is no easy feat, particularly if you're looking to carve out your own special niche. To compete in this city, restaurateurs have to go the extra mile to not only ensure their food is delectable, their ambience must be 'instagrammable' too.
One such restaurant in the city under the sun is The Collective.
Nestled on the ground floor of View Park Towers, on Utalii Street and opposite the French Cultural Centre, The Collective is a triple blend of art, music and food. If you love art galleries, live music and food, here's where you can get them all under one roof, how cool is that?
Aicha Mane, the Senagalese Chief Operating Officer, says the restaurant was designed to delight the senses and attract people looking for more than just good food.
"We want to fully engage our patrons by making sure all their senses are catered to. Sight, sound, smell, touch, taste. Everything is artistic here. From the food to the music to the ambience". She explains.
Every Friday, The Collective has live music featuring brilliant upcoming artists. And if you love Jazz music, pop by on Saturday. Shoot your shot and send them an email if you'd like them to have you in the line-up.
Aicha says on the vision board is opening up The Collective to an array of artists from different disciplines.  This month they'll have their inaugural comedy night and Kizomba  dance sessions.
The Collective is set to be Nairobi's  next hub for live music visual and performing arts.
