Amazon has had a fantastic showing of original TV shows such as the award winning The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and hilarious car show The Grand Tour. It is now throwing its hat in the ring of superhero culture with its latest production: The Boys. The violence depicted in the trailer promises a story full of uncensored gore. It is a TV show perfect for fans of Deadpool.It is based on comic books published by Wildstorm, the biggest comic books company that isn't Marvel or DC. It is a perfect story for people suffering from fatigue due to the more mainstream PG-13 superhero movies from the MCU or DC universe. The story initially began in 2006 but its run was cut short by DC who owned Wildstorm back then. DC were concerned by the anti-hero nature of the comics but in 2007, Dynamite Entertainment took up publishing the story and it resumed its run.The show stars Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford, Laz Alonso, and Jeniffer Esposito. It premieres July 26th and will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
