It has been close to two decades ever since the introduction of Telenovelas to Kenyan audiences. We have watched numerous productions through the years but there are the few ones that took precedence over our hearts and stayed memorable to us, years later after their broadcast. Below is a list of the Telenovelas that won Kenyans' hearts:
  1. In the Name of Love (En Nombre del Amor)
This is a Televisa production from 2008 starring Allisson Lozz and Sebastian Zurita. The telenovela is about a young maiden Paloma, who is forced to live with her aunts, Carlota and Macarena after her parents pass away. Kenyans loved and empathized with the innocent Paloma as she dealt life under the cruelty of her Aunt Carlota. This show took the country by storm, to the point of having a local song written about Paloma.
  1. Storm over Paradise (Tormenta en el Paraiso)
This Novela was production by Televisa in 2007, staring Erik Elias and Sara Maldonado.  The story is about a young Mayan woman called Aymar who falls in love with Nicolas, one of the Bravo brothers. Their love is hindered by Nicolas' cruel father and the vivacious Maura Duran who wants Nicolas for herself.  The show was packed with intrigue and secrets and Kenyans absolutely enjoyed following the story of Aymar and Nicolas.
  1. Love Spell (Sortilegio)
This is another Televisa production from 2009, starring Willam Levy, David Zepeda and Jacqueline Bracamontes. It is the story of two brothers, Alejandro and Bruno who have to fight each other for the love of Maria Jose and the inheritance of their family fortune.
