After staying home for nearly a year due to the pandemic, millions of kids across Kenya returned to classrooms last month. They had to adapt to new schedules, keep up with the curriculum and some are dealing with immense loss.
We've started witnessing the angst brought about by the "new normal". Highschoolers  are acting out and going on strike all over the country (most for good reason).  The Ministry of Education has come under criticism for their heavy handed handling of these very worrying trends in schools.
Perhaps, as a parent, you could take a different approach than severely punishing your teen which we can all agree doesn't seem to work.  Let Mind Ninjas  help them decompress. Their goal is to cultivate a growth mindset and 'can-do attitude' by sharing tools and techniques that nurture children to have a positive, balanced, and resilient approach to the journey of life.
This mid-term week, they've curated special workshops exclusively for teens in Nairobi and the theme is: Tools for reaching your goals.
Everyday except Sunday this week, they'll have workshops at their Westlands HQ and virtually from 10am - 12noon.
Teenagers will explore:
  1. Why SMART goals make a difference.
  2. Why making changes can be difficult
  3. The building blocks for goal success.
  4. The importance of good habits and routines.
  5. Tools for time management, planning and prioritisation.
