Exciting news for fans of Stanger Things as Netflix has just announced that the show will continue for a third season. Details of the release date will follow soon.
The second season of the 18-time Emmy nominated show opened with a record 15.8 million viewership according to a report by Nielsen. Season 3 will pick up from where we left off with Eleven closing the gate. But there is still a monster hovering around the school which leaves a lot of uncertainty in the mystical town of Hawkins.
Part of the success of the show is because it has involved kids at the centre of its story. This ensures that it's an inclusive family show. Don't worry, there are very few cringe-worthy moments here. Make sure to read our Season 2 review here.
After the confirmation, Milly Bobby Brown posted a photo of her character Eleven in tears with the caption, "Yooo why you so sad? Season 3 of Stranger Things is officially happening... that means more eggos... more kisses... and more crying."
