I think we're a little too excited for Game of Thrones (it's a good thing). I know you're asking how that's related to yesterday's State of The Nation Address but stay with me. President Uhuru gave his speech about the country's current state and future plans. Most Kenyans online weren't here for that.
He talked about his plans to fight corruption, the need to look into security, international obligations and other "important" issues. Sorry, it was a one-hour long speech and many of us tuned out because, errh, we've heard this since 2013?
Prior to the speech, Kenyans on Twitter had predicted what he would say and even words he would use. I think we have fortune-tellers in Kenya.
Back to my Game of Thrones reference; one of the reactions really caught my eye on Twitter because hey, it's not everyday you get to reference Game of Thrones in a State of The Nation Address right? My heard bleeds for the non-fans.
Check out the reactions.
