SKY Girls is an initiative aimed at empowering teen girls across Kenya to be true to themselves and what they believe in. SKY believes that every girl deserves to live a life that is fulfilling, happy, and successful.
This past Saturday at the Moi International Sports Centre - Kasarani, Nairobi SKY brought together thousands of teen girls from across the country for a weekend of empowerment, mentorship, and talks by famous celebrities. The event festival, which was themed "Najijua and I'm smoke-free'," provided a platform for teenage girls to come together and learn from each other, as well as from accomplished women in the entertainment scene in Kenya.
The festival featured aspirational artists who shared empowerment messages through their performances and encouraged girls to make positive life choices and say no to negative peer pressure.
The girls got to interact with Amina Rabar who was one of the MCs of the day and enjoyed fun activities and entertainment from a few Kenyan artists and their favorite TikTok dance influencers.

The event aimed to inspire, educate, and encourage teen girls to be confident, independent, and successful through fun activities, games, and discussions that helped girls to learn more about themselves and what they stand for.
In addition to the talks, the event provided mentorship sessions where the girls had an opportunity to interact with successful women who served as mentors. The mentors shared their experiences and provided guidance and advice to the girls on how to succeed in various fields. The girls also had an opportunity to network and interact with each other, which helped them to build relationships and friendships.

The program provides a safe space where girls can express themselves and learn from each other. The recent weekend event was a huge success, and it is clear that SKY is making a positive impact on the lives of many teen girls in Kenya.
Parents and Teen girls can look out for the next SKY Girls Festival coming to a school near you.
