Over $800million is the amount Fantastic Beasts grossed last year globally when it screened. With J.K Rowling the author of the famous Harry Potter books spearheading it, it’s no wonder it is such a success. The sequel to the first one, titled Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald, is premiering this year and I am excited if the new trailer is anything to go by.
The trailer for the new movie dropped and after watching it I felt goose bumps rise in me. Crimes of Grindelwald follows the villain Grindelwald (played by Johnny Depp) and his mischievous and evil ways to fill the world with darkness as Dumbledore tries to stop him. However, in the trailer, Professor Dumbledore tells Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne) that it his responsibility to bring down Grindelwald.
Did you watch the first movie? In a nutshell, Fantastic Beasts is set before the start of Harry Potter and it is focused on what mostly went down in America’s magical world as opposed to that of Britain’s which Harry Potter is set in. I can already tell that I am geeking out about this which means it’s time for me to stop and let you enjoy the trailer.
Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald premieres on November 16th, 2018.
