Rubi is the third remake to be produced by Televisa for their Fabrica de Suenos franchise, following La Usurpardora and Cuna De Lobos. The telenovela was a hit production from 2004 staring Barbara Mori, Jacqueline Bracamontes, Sebastian Rulli and Eduardo Santamarina.
