The maleficent clown takes all the creepiness of the first IT movie a notch higher.
It Chapter Two is the follow-up to the hugely successful It (2017). Both films are based on Stephen King‘s novel. Twenty-seven years after their first encounter with the terrifying clown Pennywise, the ”Losers Club” have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call from an old friend brings them back home. It’s now up to them to put a stop to a malevolent force haunting them and their beloved hometown.
“If it ever comes back, we’ll come back too.” Remember that line from the first movie?
Well, the ‘Losers’ are back and all grown up. With their lives having taken different paths, the gang struggles to reconnect. We find out what happened to Bill’s little brother in the first movie. And it’s not good.
It’s a 3-hour yes…you read that right…3 hour thrilling ride with nostalgic round-ups about the squad and some backstories that were left out in the first movie.
Pennywise is back at it again, playing mind games, devouring kids and haunting the ‘Losers’.
The maleficent clown takes all the creepiness of the first IT movie a notch higher. It’s a good thing the movie is not in 3-D because baaaaaaby there are many ‘jump-scares’.
There won’t be an IT 3. You’ll see why. Don’t worry, it ends well. Kinda (Muhahahhaha!)
• Stephen King makes a cameo appearance in the movie…talking about a book. How apt!
•The Shining fans….there’s something for you in there. ‘Where’s Danny!’
• It’s long. Really long.
• The attempted slapstick humor at the beginning fell flat.
Every darned time Pennywise appeared!! I hate clowns. And this is no ordinary clown.
