The coronavirus pandemic has painfully interrupted our much-loved kids' holiday camps for the 2020 camp season. But that doesn't mean your child has to miss out on all the camp fun—or that you have to rack your brain to find something to keep them entertained and engaged while you're working from home.
Camp Bluesky has come up with an ingenious way to keep the kids engaged for the next seven weeks- online camp!  For the past two decades, Camp Bluesky, a Christian adventure camp for boys and girls aged 7-18, has helped kids develop deeper relationships with their peers as well as create new friendships at camp. They've engaged them in an array of activities-from rock climbing to obstacle races, arts and craft and all kinds of wholesome fun.
This year, their online edition will offer kids a "day of camp" .This can be spread out throughout your week, or done all in a day. You get to choose your fave activities of the week and sign up for the ones you like or participate all week.
They'll have craft sessions, board games, devotionals, and even some fun fictional characters joining in once each week. From Mario, to Power Ranger, to Batman and Glinda. How cool is that?
Over the years, Camp Bluesky has engaged young university students from all over the world as camp leaders and mentors.
This year, the new camp leader is Kaelyn Jury from America. She previously worked with Camp BlueSky for several years, and will be moving back to Nairobi soon. Meanwhile, the kids can virtually connect with her on camp.
Week 1 of camp will begin on the 22nd of June. Register your kid early in advance to receive the access code that lets you participate for all four weeks. All the content will be free, so don't forget to sign-up your kids/teens. To register, go to: blueskykenya.org/online-camp-registration.
Happy Camping!
