The alcoholic beverage market in Kenya is about to experience a major shakeup as Namibian-brewed premium beer makes a comeback. Windhoek beer which was previously distributed by East African Breweries Limited (EABL) will now be under Kapari Limited.
Windhoek is brewed by Namibia Breweries Limited and is brewed according to the German purity law (Reinheitsgebot) that uses only three ingredients malted barley, hops and water. Windhoek is targeting the premium segment of the Kenyan alcoholic beverages market.
The re-entry of Windhoek beer is set to be a game changer in Kenya's premium beer category, given its history as Africa's most premium beer. Its launch in Kenya is likely to spark competition as it will offer consumers an opportunity to enjoy a real world class premium beer once again. Each Windhoek beer has a distinct style and character.
"We are proud to be associated with the relaunch and distribution of Windhoek beer in Kenya and we assure our customers of the wide and constant availability of Windhoek in the market," said Ms. Mutindi Ndambuki, Windhoek Brand Manager, Kenya.
