We celebrated Father's day last Sunday and while we salute those fathers who have been there for their kids, an increasing number of men are skipping out on their fatherly responsibilities. Yesterday, a local TV station aired this
feature and it caused quite the stir.
Opinion was divided. Some people felt like the disgruntled dads were just putting up a show and had bailed out on their responsibilities while others empathized on their supposed plight. Watch the video to form an opinion.
Earlier this year, High Court judge Jesse Njagi, made compulsory the enforcement of Article 53 of the Constitution that states, "A child has a right to parental care and protection, which includes equal responsibility for the mother and father to provide for the child whether they are married to each other or not.
