Rebecca believed that her daughter with Rodrigo had died long ago but eventually came to learn that the child survived.  She finally found her after a long search but the two are unable to reunite because of Stella's schemes.Rebecca's daughter is the rightful heir to the Cortes fortune, hence why Stella will not let her real identity get revealed. She therefore faked the DNA test results to appear negative and paid someone to pose as Rebecca's daughter.Fortunately, Rebecca is not one to be easily fooled and she was able to figure out what Stella had done. She however decided to play along in the hopes of protecting her real daughter who is now in danger.Rebecca is now investigating Stella to find incriminating evidence against her and prove that she was the one who had Rodrigo killed and tried to kill her and her daughter.
