Eco warriors, gather around. We've got some exciting news.
National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) extended their online art and essay competition deadline of submissions to 5th July 2020.
They're calling on eco lovers aged 7-25 to participate in this year's competition themed: Biodiversity for Sustainable livelihoods.
Competition GoalsGive young environmentalists a voice on how they view the environmental issues in the world in which they live, whether local or global.
Give young environmentalists a platform to raise awareness about the environmental issues important to them and move others to take action through the creation of their work.
Submitted entries should convey how biodiversity is important for our livelihoods.
There are four categories one can participate in:Category 1- Art and CartoonsOpen to participants age 7-25
One entry/person
Drawings should be on 12" paper size
Category 2- PhotographyOpen to participants age 10-25
One entry/person
Category 3- EssayOpen to participants age 10-19
Upper Primary- 200-250 words
Secondary School- 250-400
Category 4- VideographyOpen to participants age 15-25
Video length should be between 3-minutes
All participants must provide their names and contact details, affiliations of learning institutions and/ Civil society organisations upon submissions of entries to wedcompetition2020@gmail.com.
