For all the exhilarating opportunities Nairobi  has to offer, living here can be a tad bit exhausting and if you need a break from the rigours of life in this concrete jungle, taking a short staycation— to unwind and gain some perspective to prepare you for 2022 is the best  Self-Care treatment to offer yourself this festive season.

Trademark Hotel is an ideal Staycation choice  for the discerning Nairobian or anyone seeking some serious R&R in one of the finest establishments in the city. Located at the Village Market near Gigiri, Nairobi’s embassy district, Trademark offers the conveniences of a fast-paced city in a tranquil suburban environment.

I checked-in at the hotel lobby and was received by the friendly and witty Paul. Loved the retro design scheme at the reception including suitcase props and a soothing color palette.

My room was  the ‘Trademark Suite’. Designed for the seasoned traveler,  it is furnished with a work station, comfy king-size bed, generous wardrobe, laptop safe and an overhead shower. The mint shower gel they provided was divine!

The room made a lasting impression on me with its minimalist, design-focused interior.  The lighting was great, the room airy and the courtyard view from my window was amazing.

Hate early check-outs? At Trademark, you can check out at noon! How cool is that? But you don’t want to miss out on their delectable  breakfast so it’s best to be at the Harvest Restaurant before 10:00am.

The lovely hostesses at the entrance of Harvest Restaurant Hilda and Damaris  were heavy on the Maître d experience. They understand the assignment and make you feel right at home.

Harvest is aesthetically pleasing and their continental breakfast will leave you spoilt for choice. Try their overnight oats and mini chicken samosas. Highly recommended.

One of the wait staff, Philip, seemed to be very popular with the guests. And for good reason. He has a charming personality. Look out for him next time you’re at the Harvest.

A staycation doesn’t necessarily mean a Netflix marathon and lie-in.  It’s a good thing Trademark Hotel is located at the Village Market where there’s so much to see and do. You can go shopping,  bowling, play board games or get a massage at  the Kaya Spa.

Your Christmas Season Staycation awaits you at the Trademark. Make a booking today because  you deserve it bestie. Happy Holidays!
