67 year old Sane Wadu is one of the most revered contemporary artists in the region. With close to 40 years experience in the industry, the seasoned artist is the first to be featured in the newly refurbished Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute in Rosslyn. His exhibition "I Hope So: Sade Wadu" explores elements of rural life, spirituality and politics.
Wadu's work dabbles within the realms of abstract expression and surrealism. His art captures the larger-than-life trappings of contemporary Africa society beyond arbitrary tags of Western classifications.
