Stuck in an evil poachers lair? Trapped in a horrifying workshop? No, these aren’t plots for a new horror movie but rooms in Nairobi’s only “Escape room”. Escape rooms first began as real-life physical games in 2006, though the escape room concept originally began as an online  game, first developed in Japan.

There are now over 4300 rooms operating in over 900 cities worldwide. Escape rooms are particularly popular in the US, Canada, China, Japan, and increasingly in Europe.

If you have a curious kid who loves solving puzzles and has a mysterious streak, the Escape Room at the Talisman Restaurant is the perfect place for them to indulge their inner Sherlock Holmes.

They offer a whole range of imaginative scenarios, brain teasers and team-building skills; a great weekend outing.

Here’s how it works: players team up and work together to escape from a special puzzle room. Clues, riddles and codes are embedded within the rooms just waiting to be found and cracked by teams before the 60-minute time limit is up. Sounds exciting huh?

Recommended  for kids aged 10 and up, the Escape Room offers special discounts for groups of kids under 18.

The rooms are safe and supervised. If a child feels stuck and frustrated, they’ll be attended to promptly.

Help your kids escape boredom and enter the mysterious world of escape rooms.
