COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease around the country and we might just get back to life as we knew it. For the first time in roughly six months, select movie theaters in Kenya will serve confectionery, dim the lights, and start screening.
The show must go on even amid a pandemic. But don't fret, cinemas that are opening up to the public have put safety measures in place and passed an inspection. Expect social distancing, enhanced sanitizing and limited ticket sales.
This reopening of theaters is great news for movie lovers and the film industry at large. It's been a tumultuous 6 months and it's a relief to see a semblance of return to "normalcy".
Currently, Anga Diamond Plaza, Anga Sky Panari, Century Cinemax (Garden City & Junction) are operating. Westgate Cinema  will be reopening soon.
Movies now showing include : Tenet, The New Mutants, Ava & Onward
Nothing beats the experience of watching our fave flicks on the big screen. If you're brave enough to venture out, the theatre is calling.
