Many psychologists have opined that around the age of 40, many people plunge into a state of mid-life crisis, a transition from youth that is often accompanied by denial of aging. Here's when many women and men experiment with all sorts of things and try to relive their youth. Many wrongly believe they only have a few good years left in them and so, on the basis of that, they indulge in many misadventures thinking "hey, this might be the last leap". Zippy Okoth's debut film aptly named Midlife Crisistakes a candid and comical look at the lives and loves of four Nairobi career women in their 30s and 40s. Maingi, in the fictional feature, plays Gigi, a high-flying spinster who is struggling for a baby while Wanza, alias Alice, portrays a 'learned housewife married to a billionaire.'Nyawira, aka Collete, depicts a 'divorced mother of two facing pressures and social stigma', far from the rainbows of Kang'ethe (Rina) who acts as a happily married businesswoman with a supportive, loving husband and two kids.Midlife Crisis explores the misadventures of these mid-age women in Nairobi and how changes in women's roles in society, both in the workplace and behind closed doors, affects their relationships.Get your tickets from KenyaBuzz
