The 24-year old melanin queen waved the Kenyan flag high when she emerged as the fifth position out of a whopping 118 participants in the 67th edition of Miss World competition in Sanya city arena, China against India's Manushi Chhillar, who took home the crown, Andrea Meza - from Mexico who was the first runner up, Stephanie Hill -from England was second runner up and Aurore Kichenin- from France took the fourth position.

She was crowned as the African queen and looked immaculate in her rosy-pink gown, which was garnished in silver sequins- it was perfect for the ceremony. Kenya shows great promise in this particular pageant since just last year, Evelyn Njambi also made it to the top 5, while in 2015 Charity Mwangi made it to the top ten and in 2014 Idah Nguma made it to the 7th position.
