Kagwe Mungai announced a partnership with Ciroc vodka at a press briefing held at Four Points Sheraton. Ike Anoke, CEO of Taurus Music, who was at the press briefing as well, expounded that the collaboration between Kagwe and Ciroc vodka would involve a series of fun activations and events geared towards pushing the Ciroc lifestyle. Both Kagwe and Anoke were categorical that Kagwe was not the brand ambassador for Ciroc vodka.
As the afternoon progressed, Kagwe shared some of the projects he had been working on this year, one of them being his debut album, Spectrum. He described it as a complete body of work that will let fans in on his diverse musical style and take them through the journey of his evolution in music. He expressed that Spectrum which drops in February next year will feature Niniola, Short Madjozi, Mini Mars and others he refused to mention.
Kagwe also announced that he will be performing at the SXSW music festival in Texas in March 2019, on the African stage curated by the festival. A new line of sneakers by him is also in the works. The sneakers are expected to retail at Ksh. 8,000 once they hit they market and buyers will have the option to customize their pair of shoes before they purchase them.
Last month,Kagwe Mungai was unveiled as the face of Aramanda fashion, a Nigerian fashion house, and had the chance to do runway shows in London and Dubai.
