KB: Geosteady, tell us something about yourself
My name is George William Kigozi, popularly known as Geosteady. Born and bred in Kampala, I'm a Ugandan R&B singer, songwriter and producer.
KB: How long have you been doing music professionally and how would you describe your sense of style, music wise?
This is my sixth year in the East African music Industry. My style is basically a fusion of different styles to create a unique sound called 'Afrozouk'. I guess you can call me the afro magician!
KB: You have a new banger out, tell us more about 'Ebisembayo'
Yes! I'm super excited about this project. 'Ebisembayo' is basically a love song about showing affection to your other half to infinity. 'Ebisembayo' basically means an end game to love. I did it with the super talented Chosen Becky because I believe she's got an amazing voice and the kind of melody to match up with the interest of my fans.
KB: Who produced and directed this hit track?
Ah! Well, the audio was produced by two of the best people I could work with on this project, Butar and Nessim. The video on the other hand was directed by one Darlington of Zero1 media.
KB: What brought about the creative concept behind 'Ebisembayo'?
We all believe that having a wedding is the crowing of a couple's love. So we created a wedding set up to crop the message better in the song. I must say I've been blessed enough to be able to produce a love-wedding anthem every year.
KB: Any projects we can expect from you in 2019?
But of course! I'm currently in the process of securing major collaborations this year, same as last year where I had the pleasure of working with one of Nigeria's finest, Korede Bello.
I'm working on my record label, Blackman Entertainment in which I just signed my first artist who's ready to release music. So you guys should be in the loop when it drops.
My team and I are working on doing a media tour for my Kenyan and Tanzanian fans. I'll have the details once we've finalized all the nitty gritties.
KB: You have a huge fan base across East Africa, what's the one thing you'd like to tell them?
To my fans, you should expect more mature context with unbelievable soothing melodies for the soul. God bless you for always supporting the hustle and loving my music!
