If you're looking for a fun way to get your kids to spend more time studying and less time on TV amid the pandemic, TED-Ed has you covered. TED Conferences LLC (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an American media organization that posts talks online for free distribution under the slogan "ideas worth spreading".
They've now amped up their kids' education section and it's free to access to the public. They have resources for students, teachers and parents They have lots of fun, interactive videos kids and teens will love. From bugs that poop candy to tutorials on making 'invisible ink', the science behind hypnosis and tips on acing tests.

TED-Ed students talk - This program supports students as they discover, explore and present their big ideas in the form of short, TED-style talks.  You can help your child prepare and present Ted-talk styles on selected topics. Sign them up at TED-Ed to get guidelines on how to prep.
TED-Ed Lesson Creator- This is useful for parents and teachers. Customize lessons for kids and/ teens. Make your learning sessions more interactive and add more depth to the subjects. Here's how:

  • Add questions, discussion prompts, and additional resources
  • Share your lesson with your students
  • Track their progress.
TED-Ed Masterclass- Educators can sign up for this to help them improve their teaching and public speaking skills. Here, you'll find a network of teachers all over the world and incentivized training courses.
