The 2019 edition of Cake Art Affair will take place on 13th April from 11 am -8 pm at Two Rivers Mall Nairobi. This year's event will feature over 30 bakers and 30 art and craft vendors.Guests will enjoy an unlimited supply of cake and music from lesser-known but incredibly talented artists drawn from around the country."This year's edition is special because we have moved to a new home. We are getting bigger - we had an audience of 1300 last year, so the space in Arboretum was becoming too small to hold the growing family. We'll still maintain the connection with nature because that ambiance is important to us. That's why at Two Rivers, the event will be held in the outdoor section,'' says Simon Maina, one of the organisers of Cake Art Affair.The event will be split into two sessions. The morning session which runs from 11 am - 2 pm, will be all about cake. Guests will sample the baked delights from the 30 vendors exhibiting at the show. The afternoon session from 2 pm will be about music. In between the sessions, guests can shop from the 30 art and crafts vendors on site. An interesting addition to the line-up of activities is a walk-through maze.One of the artists on the line-up is an upcoming band called Yozowo, comprised of Vanon, Twitchy, Kahuti, and Mahiga. "We want guests to come and listen to what we have to offer which is very different from what is out there. We infuse afro-beats with every genre of music from reggae, to RnB, to jazz, and pop to create a sound that is unique to us,'' says Vanon.Advance tickets cost Ksh. 500 and Ksh 2,000 total for groups of 5.
