Hot Trends Today: Every Comic-Con Movie & TV Trailer You Should Watch

The annual San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) event virtually broadcast on Thursday (July 23) for the first time in its 50-year history due to the coronavirus pandemic. Here are some of the movie and TV trailers that premiered at the event;

‘His Dark Materials’ Season 2

The second installment of the hit HBO series centers around a Lyra (Dafne Keen), a young girl destined to liberate her world from the grip of the Magisterium which represses people’s ties to magic and their animal spirits known as daemons. The drama series is set for release later this year.

‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’

Directed by Dean Parisot, the third “Bill & Ted” installment stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as two metalhead slacker friends Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan, who find themselves as middle-aged dads still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny by travelling through time.

Having previously been scheduled for an August 21st release date, “Bill & Ted Face the Music” is coming to theatres and On-Demand September 1,2020.

‘Truth Seekers’ Horror-Comedy Teaser

“Truth Seekers” centers on a pair of paranormal investigators who “take out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel.”

The ghost-hunting, 8-episode flick premieres later this year on Amazon Prime Video.

‘Utopia’ Season 1 Teaser

Created by Gillian Flynn, the mystery flick looks into the stories of a youth group who meet online, get a hold of a cult underground graphic novel, which not only pins them as a target of a shadowy deep state organization, but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world.

Utopia’s release date is to be announced at a later date. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

‘The New Mutants’

The Josh Boone-directed flick stars five mutants held in a secret facility against their will. They must fight to escape their past sins and save themselves on the path to discovering their abilities. “The New Mutants”, which is also the last remaining 20th Century Fox X-Men flick, premieres in theatres August 28,2020.
