Wakanda holds special significance for some people. The name was taken from a real place that exists near Kenya and Ethiopia. Just as the one in the film, Wakanda is rich with great deposits of minerals. The people who are familiar with the actual place will be able to appreciate this small detail in the film. In addition, the name "Wakanda" is loosely based upon thee Wakamba tribe from Kenya, who have since changed the name of the tribe to Kamba. From a visual perspective, Wakanda will be special to viewers familiar with Iguacu Falls in Brazil and Victoria Falls in Zambia.
Michael B. Jordan and Chris Evans have something unique in common
Both Michael B. Jordan and Chris Evans have played the role of Johnny Storm of "The Fantastic Four." In a fun twist of fate, both actors have also starred in a film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans went from the Human Torch to play Captain America for Marvel. Jordan had originally made an effort to secure thee role of Sam Wilson aka the Falcon in 2013, but just three years later he has been cast in "Black Panther.
Mutant Storm and Black Panther have a different relationship in the new film
It's common knowledge that Storm, the X-Men mutant was the love interest of Black Panther in the comic realm of Marvel. They were even married for a short period of time in the funnies, but the issue preventing the continuation of the love story is because each character is owned by separate studios who have sole rights to them, and this has made the romantic aspect between thee two characters a no-go.
The final fun fact is that "Black Panther" the movie was compared by Daniel Kaluuya to the Marvel version of "Game of Thrones."
