Music (good music of course) is food for the soul. And in Kenya, Reggae features prominently on the buffet. Reggae music is arguably one of the most popular music genres in the country. Originating from the Caribbean island of Jamaica in the 1960s, the genre became massively popular thanks to legendary singer and songwriter Bob Marley.
Before COVID-19 ruined everything, this month was set to be the busiest in the music festival circuit with Reggae fests dominating the calendar. But Nuh worries mon. The show must go on.
Reggae maestro Blackheart is debuting her album Black Woman tonight on Instagram Live from 9pm. Join in pon di Listen party!
The 10 track album is about black women's emancipation and appreciation.
 The album is a compilation of riddims produced at Halflive productions.
