For Tech Kids in Kenya: Africa Coding Olympiad 2022

Is your child interested in tech? Are they into computers and coding? Codingal, a leading coding platforms for kids, has just launched what is arguably the largest online coding competitions for kids in the region: Africa Coding Olympiad 2022. 
It's designed to inspire, motivate and engage African school students in grades 1-12 to learn to code. If your child has coding experience, this competition is a great way for them to show off their skills alongside their techie peers.
Themes & Projects
Junior Group (Grade 1-4)
Scratch Challenge
 Project: Build a coding project on the Scratch platform which can be a combination of games and animation and must showcase the creator's creativity, programming skills, and imagination.
 Middle Group (Grade 5-8)
 Thunkable Challenge
 Project: Build a coding project on the Thunkable platform which can be a combination of games and animation and must showcase the creator's creativity, programming skills, and imagination.
 Senior Group (Grade 9-12)
Python Challenge
Project: Build a coding project in the python language that must showcase the creator's creativity, programming skills, and imagination.
Project submission closes by August 31, 2022
  • The winner will win a prize worth USD 100
  • 1st runner up will win a prize worth USD 75
  • 2nd runner up will win a prize worth USD 50
  • Top 3 projects from each grade group will earn a "Certificate of Recognition"
  • All participants will receive a "Certificate of Participation"
