The Rich Also Cry (Los Ricos Tambien Lloran) is a Televisa production from 2021 staring Sebastian Rulli and Claudia Martin. It is an adaptation of a Mexican show of the same title from 1979.The show follows the story of Marian, a poor young woman who is an orphan. She is left all alone after her godmother dies. Things become exceptionally difficult for her but fate shines a light on her when she meets business man, Don Alberto Salvatierra.Don Alberto suffers a heart attack after arguing with his eldest son, Luis Alberto. Mariana saves his life and when he recovers, he takes her to live in the Salvatierra mansion as a way to thank her. This is where she meets Luis Alberto. Mariana and Luis Alberto's relationship develops even with their differences and the two end up in a passionate and beautiful love. But things between them get complicated because of Soraya, Luis Alberto's lover and other members of the Salvatierra family.
