Pedro is married to Marina, the daughter of Olmo (Guillermo Garcia Cantu), who is also his adoptive father. While on a business trip to Spain, Pedro meets Vera and hopelessly falls in love with her. He goes back to Mexico to end his marriage with Marina and live happily with Vera. His plans are however destroyed after Olmo threatens him.Years later, Olmo also meets Vera and falls for her due to her charming resemblance of his deceased wife. He introduces her to his family and proposes marriage.  Pedro will therefore meet Vera again, but this time as Olmo's girlfriend.
