Rubi is among the Telenovelas that Televisa are planning to remake under their Fabrica de suenos project. This novela  was produced in 2004 staring Barbara Mori, Sebastian Rulli, Eduardo Santamarina and Jacqueline Bracamontes as the lead characters.Fabrica De Suenos recently revealed the new cast that will retell the story. Camila Sodi will take on the lead role as Rubi. Sin Tu Mirada star Claudia Martin was previously considered for the role but it ultimately went to Camila Sodi. Jose Ron will reprice the role of Doctor Alejandro while Rodrigo Guirao will play Hector.  Kimberly Dos Ramos will reprice the role of Maribel, Rubi's best friendThe new adaptation for the novela will have 25 episodes. It will tell the story about a young woman who uses her feminine wiles and beauty to escape poverty without a care for the people who will get hurt because of her actions.
