Fernando Colunga and Ana Brenda Contreras are set to star in new historical drama for Telemundo, The Count: Love and Honor. The show will mark their debut with Telemundo after working for Televisa.Both actors have not been absent from the Telenovela scene for a while with Fernando Colunga's last appearance being Passion and Power in 2015. He was supposed to star in Telemundo's historical series, Malverde but pulled out. The story is set in the 1930s with an intense love story between Alejandro Gaitán (Colunga), a humble young peasant, and Mariana (Contreras) a beautiful and restless young lady. But Josefina de Zambrano (Chantal Andere), Mariana's stepmother, and Gerardo Villarreal (Sergio Sendel), will set out to turn this love story into misery.
