Fab or Drab: The Samantha’s Bridal Wedding Fair Puts on a Glitzy Show for a Memorable Edition

The annual Samantha’s Bridal Fair gave new meaning to fabulosity. The exquisite event which took place at Sarit Centre over the past weekend is the one-stop shop for anyone looking for latest wedding trends and deals. The exhibitors all brought their A-game and one would inevitably find themselves drawn to the phenomenal pieces and designs set up at each stall.

Brides-to-be must have come out of the show utterly spoilt for choice owing to the fact that there was so much to pick from. Everything lived up to the bourgeoisie status of the renowned show.

This event was exclusively for the A-listers, and the ultimate destination for all your elegant wedding needs. Check out our list of the fab and drab moments from the show:

  1. The Exhibitors

Words alone cannot describe how marvellous the exhibitor stalls were decorated. From enormous crystal chandeliers to themed floral back drops and the unique placements of statement antiques would have had you planning for a fantasy wedding. For one glorious afternoon moment, we were sucked out of reality and immersed into a beautiful utopian world filled with an array of beautiful flowers, wine and cake – bliss!

The Aura Events, a wedding planning company that provides wedding arrangements services made it to the list of the most remarkable exhibitors. You can be sure that your wedding would be in safe hands judging from how creatively high-end their stall was. Magnolia Events, the company that planned reality TV star Shamea Morton’s wedding also wowed with their unique and stunning masterpieces.

The Hot Trends area was spectacular. An entire room arranged with different setups of the now trending wedding and party arrangements was a brilliant idea. They were able to bring to life even the most unfathomable setups, much to the delight of the attending brides to be.

  1. Catherine Masitsa: Owner of Samantha’s Bridal

The ever so fashionable owner of the fairy tale show was bubbly and interactive. She easily has one of the most loveable personalities and this was portrayed as she announced the various winners on stage and how warmly she would hug them and show gratitude to the attendees of the show.

  1. The Fashion Show

The white wedding gowns showcased catered to all possible tastes. The fashion forward bride with a sufficient budget had an array of edgy and unique designs to choose from; the stand out being a stunning gown embellished in Swarovski crystals.

  1. The Sitting Capacity

An event of this caliber with over 10 editions under its belt, is bound to attract a significant number of people, and with this in mind, the event organisers should have done more to ensure the seating spaces were sufficient. It was uncomfortable to watch the show while standing, particularly for the ladies who had their heels on, ouch! What’s more, the basic maroon chairs were an eyesore. No effort was spent on their decoration which was made more worse by the fact that the exhibitors had done their part to set a top-notch standard in terms of décor. It would be expected that with so many top-notch exhibitor stalls that every aspect of the show would be at par, but alas!
