Shopping with your kids at the mall can be quite a daunting task. If they're not whining, they're probably picking up stuff they shouldn't touch. Forget about a peaceful lunch if you're catching up with friends. Not to fret, various malls in Nairobi offer drop n' shop/ drop-in child care and entertainment centers. Here are some of them:
Funscapes at the Hub-Karen
Funscapes at the Hub Karen is a gaming arcade that has lots of fun activities suitable for the whole family. It has a jungle gym, mini-golf course, an array of game consoles and an Octopus carousel ride.  Kids age 12 and above can play unaccompanied as there's staff on site to assist. Younger kids may be accompanied by minders who pay full fee to access the area.
Beezy Beez at Yaya Centre
Beezy Beez is a day care and edutainment centre for kids ages 1-12. They offer supervised art classes, magic shows, obstacle games and lunch. Their minders even potty train kids. Located at the 3rd floor of Yaya centre, Beezy Beez offers holistic care for your child while you shop.
Westgate Kids' Club- Westgate Mall
For Ksh 1000/hour, your kids can have access to the Kids' Club at Westgate Mall. They'll enjoy the slides, art corner, snacks and monkey bar. Parents or minders don't need to pay extra to accompany the child. Older kids (Upto age 11) can play unaccompanied. Management has security on site.
The Jungle at Sarit Centre
The Jungle at Sarit Centre is operated by Pins entertainment. They have slides, twisting tunnels, a maze of climbing nets a ball pit and LEGO playing area. Minders have to pay full fee to access the area. However, older kids can play unaccompanied as the employees are on site to assist them if need be
Under the Sea & Ozone Trampoline Park at the Village Market
Under The Sea is a safe space for toddlers and preschoolers for their play dates, themed parties and school trips. The ocean theme offers a relaxing ambience. Right next to it is Ozone Trampoline park for older kids. They have crazy trampolines, a ball pit and other fun activities.
Kids under the age of 4 accessing Under the Sea must be accompanied by a minder at an extra Ksh 100/hour. Minders accompanying minors at Trampoline Park must pay full fee.
There's security on site and a waiting lounge for parents to watch kids from a distance without needing to pay extra fees.
