Kizomba is a genre of dance and a music genre originating from post-colonial Angola that blew up in the 80s and has gained traction globally over the years. Kizomba means "party" and is famed for its sensuality and even eroticism! Many have referred to it as "dirty dancing". There's a lot of gyration going on, sensual hip movements, also, close eye contact with your dance partner is encouraged.

The Kizomba District 
The Kizomba District is an Afro- Latino dance school right in the heart of Nairobi offering the choice of learning Semba, Kizomba, Kuduro and Afro-House at the Kenya National  Theatre. They have lessons for beginners every Tuesday and Thursday  from 5PM-7PM.

Kamata Dance School

The Nairobi Dance Project
The Nairobi Dance Project is a leading Afro Latin dance company. They participated in the world Kizomba Flashdance in 2019 and went viral.
