Dhaakad: Haunted by the Past

Bollywood Twitter is impressed with the unconventional action packed movie Dhaakad (formidable) as it goes against the grain by casting a woman (Kangana Ranaut) as Agent Agni. A badass government agent.

It's not often that you see women in Bollywood movies play out-of-the box roles that don't require them to play damsel in distress or someone's love interest. So it's refreshing to watch Kangana Ranaut in action mode in Dhaakad.

She plays Agent Agni who is tasked to find information and eventually, eliminate Rudraveer, an international human trafficker and a coal mafioso. Things turn personal when Agni discovers a truth that connects her past to Rudraveer.

Agni is then forced to confront her past and this compromises her loyalty with her employer-the government.
