Creed came to cinemas in 2015 and left a glorious imprint not to be forgotten as quickly as a picture sketched on water.

The punches; the sweat; the blood; the backs pressed against ropes; the intriguing love story of main protagonist Adonis and girlfriend Bianca; lifted the movie to high reviews. What if theatres haven’t seen anything yet?

This weekend Adonis is back, ready to knock gloves with another fierce boxing opponent and throw punches, sending mouthguards flying out, all as your eyes widen behind 3D glasses.

Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, Creed 2 brings the story of Adonis Johnson who years after the death of his dad Apollo Creed, finds himself in the ring fighting for his family’s legacy.

His father was killed by punches from boxer Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) in 1985, following a horrid boxing match. Now, Adonis Johnson accepts a match against Ivan Drago’s son, Viktor Drago, who is equally dangerous and revered. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) initially objects the match, but later caves in after his effort to thwart this deadly match tanks. Rocky has to train young Adonis in preparation for his lifetime boxing match.

This drama/ sport movie stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson and Dolph Lundgren.
