BTS' oldest member Jin's will be celebrating his 27th birthday (Korean age) on the 4th of December. Kenyan fans of the K-Pop band will join the rest of the BTS A.R.M.Y worldwide in an event in his honour. They will celebrate Jin's birthday at the Body of Christ Orphanage in Limuru on the 8th of December.
The event is inspired by BTS' support of UNICEF's Youth 2030 campaign titled Generation Unlimited which was launched earlier in September where BTS also gave a speech. The campaign seeks to support the youth and young people in giving them opportunities for a better future.
The fandom's spokesperson Noona Neera says that this will be the Kenyan A.R.M.Y.'s way of supporting BTS' cause.
"We believe music is a universal language and through K-Pop, we want to spread love within us to others. It means a lot since we love BTS and this is our way to show our love to them and to ourselves", Neerah says.
The A.R.M.Y will spend the day playing, dancing and singing with the kids.
BTS also launched their 'Love Myself' campaign with UNICEF last year which the Kenyan A.R.M.Y. also hopes to support.
To participate in the event, you can donate food or clothes for the kids at Body of Christ orphanage, aged between 4 and 18. You can find out more details about the event on the poster.
