The weekend is off to a good start today after Blinky Bill debuted the video for his song, Mungu Halali.  The song off his 2018 album 'Everybody Is Just Winging It and Other Fly Tales' features Sage, Lisa Odour and Wambura Mitaru.The video shot by Blinky's former Just-A-Band mate Mbithi Masya begins with a clip of legendary radio presenter Leonard Mambo Mbotela giving praising the track, before transitioning to Blinky's laid-back vocals which he delivers over a polyphonic instrumental.The visuals are a series of snapshots of Nairobi urban life, from fashion, to art, to the city's nightlife. A star-studded ensemble of contemporary tastemakers pop up in the video for cameos too; including Patricia Kihoro, Junior Nyong'o, Mayonde, Lyra Aoko and Kevin "Makmende" Maina.Blinky capped off a successful year in 2018 with the release of his debut album, Everybody Is Winging It and Other Fly Tales, showcasing his experimental musical style and coming-of-age since his Just A Band days where he was the lead vocalist.As a cross-media artist, Blinky's musical mélange of fusion, hip-hop, funk and jazz have earned him global recognition and a growing local fan base.
