Batman Ninja, a Japanese anime, is dropping an English version which should have Kenyan audiences excited. The challenge with most anime shows is keeping up with the hectic visual action while at the same time reading the subtitles. Thankfully, that won't be a problem here.
Batman Ninja is about the adventures of Batman, but this time in a new dimension. We get to see him in Japan where he has to fight off evil. He will be there with some of his friends but it will be a dystopian setting in which he won't have an idea of how and why he got there. A time machine is responsible for that and it appears they are not in the present time. The Joker will be leading an army of villains who have made themselves leaders. Batman will not have his usual highly advanced technology which means he will have to prove himself a worthy Samurai to restore peace in a disorderly world brought upon by The Joker and his team.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast for the English version is made up of popular actors. The cast includes Roger Craig Smith from Batman: Arkham Origins who will voice Batman, Tony Hale from the TV series Veep as The Joker, Grey Griffin from the Scooby-Doo as Catwoman, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Fred Tatasciore from Family Guy as Gorilla Grodd and Deathstroke, Yuri Lowenthal from Ben 10 as Robin, Adam Croasdell from the TV series Reign as Nightwing and Alfred, Will Friedle among others.
Are you excited? Hunter X Hunter was one of the most watched animes locally so considering Batman is a familiar pop culture figure, this might be the talk this year. Batman Ninja drops on May 8th 2018 in the United States.
