Winners of the 63rd annual Grammy awards have been announced. Dubbed music's biggest night, the Trevor Noah-hosted virtual ceremony, held in Los Angeles on Sunday, had no audience and performers were separated onto five stages in line with social distancing measures.
Awards in 83 categories were handed out across 30 fields of music including roots, bluegrass, country, rock and Christian.
This year's lead nominee, Beyoncé, picked up three Grammy wins for Savage with Megan Thee Stallion, Brown Skin Girl and Black Parade (R&B performance). She breaks the record as the most Grammy awarded female artist with 28 trophies in her name.
Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for Folklore while Dua Lipa's sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, took home the coveted Best Pop Vocal Album. Billie Eilish won Record of the Year for Everything I Wanted while Megan Thee Stallion took both Best New Artist and Best Rap Song (Savage feat. Beyoncé) awards.
Afro beats stars Burna Boy and Wizkid shone Africa's light to the world with their Grammy wins. Burna Boy bagged Best Global Music Album for Twice as Tall while Wizkid won the Best Music Video for his feature in Beyoncé's Brown Skin Girl stint.
The Grammys described Burna as one who "continues to torch limitations, seamlessly blending styles and genres and fearlessly fueling the fire heating the melting pot of pop, Afrobeat, dancehall, reggae and more". Wizkid's win on Brown Skin Girl was cemented as "a feast for the fashion-forward and a celebration of Black and brown female beauty everywhere".
