Luciana finally returns to the Vineyard after being away for 10 years. She and her father were deported from the US after Lilian schemed with the police. Her plan was to make Marta, Luciana's mother leave the vineyard after her daughter and husband were gone but things did not go as planned. Marta ended up staying to take care of David's children.Luciana grew up with her father in Mexico and the two of them waited to get their Visas in order to return to the US and reunite their family. Unfortunately, when they eventually received their Visa's Luciana's father passed away from a heart attack. Luciana brought his ashes to the Vineyard to sprinkle them there because he loved that land.With Luciana's return, there is bound to be more chaos. With her strong personality, she is already on bad terms with David, who after the death of his wife has become quite irritable. Lilian is still out to get Marta and is not happy that Luciana is back, as this will make it harder to make Marta leave. The other workers also dislike Luciana, especially Carito who sees her as a rival for Miguel's affection.
