All Roads Lead to ‘Rigga Live’ 2019 Edition this March
The Music Journey
Charles Righa, popularly known by his stage name ‘Rigga’ is a recording and a performing artist from Nairobi, Kenya. He’s released two albums including numerous mixtapes and EPs. After being in the music industry for years, Rigga began to produce his own music. His first self-produced EP was the ‘Chumbani EP’. As the name suggests, he produced it himself at his house. Some of his other projects include, ‘Nipe Time’ and ‘Mwisho wa Dunia’ which became a huge success.
As an artist, the ‘Lovin 254 always’ hit maker sought to showcase the beauty that is live music through his event dubbed, ‘Rigga Live’.
The first event was held back in March,2017 in which he featured great musicians including Atemi, Kanji Mbugua, Shamsi Music, Kendi Nkonge and Nasara. Thanks to the event’s success, a second edition was hosted in May,2018 where musician Noel Nderitu was the key act at the event.
‘Many Kenyan artists struggle with finding producers that will create amazing music due to financial constraints. I’m looking to work with various artists to produce great Kenyan music and going a step further to give them an avenue to perform their music at Rigga Live events’, explains Rigga.
This year’s edition of Rigga Live will be happening on the 9th of March at Braeburn theatre. Advance tickets will be going for Kshs. 1000 while gate tickets will cost Kshs. 1500. Group tickets (admitting five) will sell at Kshs. 4,000.
