India and Pakistan fell off the handle way back, and they keep bandying words in arguments and threats. That's not new, it's something we witness every other day, nations getting ticked off by other nations and knocking gloves in the ring.
And when it goes too far, like it did in the case of US president Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un of North Korea, the words 'attack your nation' get thrown somewhere in between the trading of scathing words.

Good thing, we saw Trump and Kim shake hands some time back, after a series of tweets threatening to attack each other's nation. The hand shaking meant no more threats, an olive branch has been held out.
But from which hole did this enmity between India and Pakistan crawl? In 1947 India was partitioned, giving birth to two independent dominions: India and Pakistan. And since then, they never liked each other. A case of brothers dividing wealth among themselves, somehow getting unhappy with each other, and deciding never to see eye to eye after each one walking his way. I'd love to liken their conflict to that.
A party a day...
But the exciting part is that despite the enmity, these dominions meet at the border daily, for a party involving their defense forces. The party goes down with a friendly competition to close the border every evening, and hundreds of people attend.
During the border party held at the Wagah border crossing, soldiers march in high steps, stamping feet with all their energy, throwing kicks, and performing stunts to mock and taunt the other side. It's a party, remember, and what's a party if there isn't something to bite?
Together with caps and flags, popcorn and ice cream are sold to civilians from each side who watch from their side of the fence. There's also music before the competitions kick off.
This daily border party ends with lowering of flags on each side of the fence.
They're enemies, but this party is probably their way to show each other who is mightier, and maybe cooler, by playing gadfly.
