We got an opportunity to chat with the star courtesy of music app Boomplay and he dished about his projects and protégés.
KENYABUZZ: It's a pleasure meeting you. Why the name 'Naiboi'?
NAIBOI: I wanted to re-brand and establish myself as a Nairobi artist.
KENYABUZZ: How has Boomplay impacted you artistically?
NAIBOI: It is a good platform to sell and advertise myself and my music, plus it gets me money (laughing).
KENYABUZZ: You have protégés like Rosa and who look up to you. Are they involved in all your projects?
NAIBOI: Yes definitely, if they win, I win.
KENYABUZZ: What do you emphasize on most when creating music, content or flow?
NAIBOI: Content, 100%. And the vibe of the country at the time.
KENYABUZZ: What should we expect from you this year?
NAIBOI: I will be releasing my album this year and a unique collabo.
