Entertaining kids in Nairobi can be a tad bit expensive. If your finances are tight, here are 5 budget- friendly spaces in Nairobi that can accommodate kids for 100 bob or less.
Arboretum
Arboretum and the word picnic are synonymous in Nairobi. This beloved spot is easily accessible from the CBD and comes complete with picnic tables and nature walks. You and the kids can also immerse yourself in some dendrology and ride bikes. At the entrance, there's a wealth of info on the trees in the park.  The charges for the park are Ksh 65 for kids.
The Nairobi National Museum 
The Nairobi National Museum is the flagship museum of NMK, housing celebrated collections of Kenya's history, nature, culture and contemporary art. Open from 9:00AM-6:00PM daily. If your kids are into history, they'll enjoy what the museum has to offer for Ksh 100.
Kenya National Archives 
The Kenya National Archives along Moi Avenue has old photographs, films, unique literature and writings, newspaper cuttings, maps and infographics that hold significant importance to our country's history. Kids can learn a lot here for only Ksh 50.
Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) rooftop
If your kids are not afraid of heights, they can view the City's skyline from the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) rooftop. Visitors can access the rooftop everyday from 9:00am till 8:00pm. Kids pay 100 bob.
The Kenya National Library
The Kenya National Library Service has libraries spread out across the country The biggest one, along community road, is the Headquarters and has a kid-friendly section with a huge collection of African literature for kids.
If your child loves to read, this space is for them. Kids can become members for free and borrow books for up to a month for only 20 bob.
