We are excited to present Nairobi's baddest bass player Madagascan born Radanz Nirina as he leads his group MG Band featuring a special guest on trumpet Tsanta Randriamihajasoa from Madagascar. Their artist profile is below
Radanz is a talented and self-taught Malagasy bass player who has been part of the East African world of music for about 8 years now. He has played with several bands such as Maia Von Lekow, Kato Change and many others. In Madagascar, he has accompanied a number of famous national and international artists and is particularly renowned for musical arrangement, bringing a special touch on several artist albums in the country. He has his own group called Gasy Groove with a few renowned Malagasy musician friends. In 2015, Radanz released his first solo album entitled "Afro-gasy" which is a fusion of jazz and traditional genres. Although his music is a specific genre, Radanz does not restrict himself as he enjoys playing all kinds of music. During his musical career, he has participated in international world and jazz festivals such as Womex festival (Germany), Paléo festival (Switzerland), Festival des Musiques Métisses (France),Jazz à Nancy ( France), La fête jazz ( Seychelles) Madajazzcar International Jazz festival, Safaricom International Jazz festival (Kenya) and many others.
